I have been in a legal fight with Bank One (now Chase Bank) for 5 years. I owned a golf course with a mortgage from NBD (once known as National Bank of Detroit). Bank One acquired them in 1999 and then they changed their credit policies and forced me into default on the loan.
The local ex-NBD people knew I was being mistreated so Bank One brought in a man from Texas to foreclose the loan. He used a local lawyer who had never done this type of foreclosure before. Together they made a legal mistake and rather than neogtiate a solution with me, they chose to go to court and lie, cheat and steal my property. They denied me my legal right to redeem the foreclosed golf course and sent me into financial ruin.
Like someone who had cancer would do, I have searched the laws and legal cases in Michigan to see if there is a solution to my problem. It is abundantly clear that there is nothing in the law that permitted them to do what they did, but with their deep pockets, immense legal connections and 'large company banking credibility' they were able to convince a judge their actions were legal.
