I have a 3 month old baby and a I got a Baby Trend Zanzibar Play Yard for my baby shower. When He was 2months old and about 13 lbs it ripped... it is supposed to hold up to 18lbs...which he is only 15 now and still 3lbs to go as far as the recommended weight. It ripped a big whole on the side right where the seam is. Thank god he didn't get hurt on it. I have been trying to contact this company by phone and by e-mail... tried to contact 3 times each way. NO call back or e-mail back from this company.
I obviously don't have the receipt because even if I did Babies R Us wouldn't take it back because it has been 90 days since the purchase and we got rid of the box. SO we couldn't get a new one. I wish i could have gotten a call back so i can get a new one or at least even pay for the part. But by the time I get a new one now he will probably weigh to much for it.
SO I went out and bought a new one. NOT Baby Trend. AND I will NEVER EVER get a Baby Trend product again...I wish more people will know about this so they don't waste their money on their crappy product... their other play yard my friend had and the side of the play yard ripped.
