Autoland Scams Customer Over Warranty Coverage - Automotive Service

- New Jersey - 170 Route 22 East Springfield NJ
I was driving my daughter to her practice when the my 2006 Chysler Town and Country started making loud scraping noises from the front end. In addition, it sounded as if something was being bounced around under the hood. I pulled over checked under the car and under the hood but could not identify where the noise was coming from. I proceeded to drive when the car started jerking and thumping as I drove, so much so, It was hard to steer the car so I pulled over again. I thought to myself that it actually felt like the drivers side wheel was about to fall off its axel. I checked again, this time I inspected the front wheels and I looked under the car to see if I had ran over something because the thumping gave me the false impression that I had run over something. However, nothing was found to be around or under the car. At this point it was unsafe to continue but I needed to get the car home. I proceeded very slowly and finally made it home. The following morning I called AAA to have the care towed to the jAutoland dealership where I had originally purchased the car and have my car serviced. When the towing service arrived, He instructed me to back the car out of the driveway onto the street so they could get the car on the flat bed. Well as I backed out of the driveway, the car started making a loud grinding noise and it was then that the front driver's side wheel and the axle separated from the car. I was very lucky to have arrived home safely the previous day. When we arrived at Autoland I reiterated what had happened also informing the service representative that My car was still under the 100,000 mile Total Car Care warranty that they sold me when I purchased the car. He said he would call me when their mechanics had a chance to inspect the car. Hours later he calls me and tells me that My left Axel, Strut and Strut Mount needed to be replaced. I then asked him if these items were covered by my warranty and he said no. I was shocked! How could these intergral items not be covered, I asked. He replied because they are not, with no further explanation. Then I insisted that there must have been some defect of some kind because How could the Axel just fall off a car. He replied that I had over 85,000 miles on my car and if it was defective this situation would have occurred sooner. I then asked him how much was the cost. He quoted me a price of over $1,100. After picking my jaw off the floor I told him I will call him back consulted with my husband and started to negotiate a better price. We then settled at $965.00. On the third day I paid and picked up my minivan. I was still annoyed that something like this was not covered so I took the invoice and call my Warranty company and read them everything that was replaced on my minivan and they confirmed that these items were covered and that they had not received any calls from the dealership inquiring about my coverage at all. Well I was livid I called the service manager twice and left messages for him to call me back. To no avail of course. Now subsequent to all this my minivan started leaking heating fluid all down my driveway. In addition, ater I picked up my car I noticed I was no longer getting heat in the minvan and also still hearing odd noises in the front end. After what had happened I was frightened to drive that car. I had my car towed again because the engine gauge was moving to the Hot position. It was then that I confronted the service manager Face to Face. I had informed him that I had paid for services that were covered and I requested a refund. He proceeded to pass my file over to one of the service representative to investigate my claim and to take car of the other issues I was having with my car. Two days went by without them having a definitive answer for me. I finally received an answer. They are now claiming that I damaged the axel, and that I must have been in some accident to have caused this problem. Now I have not been in any frontal accidents. I did not run over anything. Nor does my minivan show any evidence at all to imply that I damaged the axel. They are refusing to honor my warranty and not refunding me my money for the repairs. They are falsely accusing me of causing the damage to satisfy the exceptions listed in my Warranty. I am not going to let them get away with this improper business practice. Can you help me.
