Raridon Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Kirkland WA Complaint

Auto Scam - Mislead sales tatics

- Kirkland Washington
I decided to terminate my purchase of a car before accepting delivery due to deceptive and misleading information from the dealership. It all started with several emails I had with the dealer and then spoke to the salesman on the phone after they accepted my offer via the Internet. The order was for a red rock wrangler unlimited Rubicon Jeep. The dealer said I must come in and fill out the paperwork on May 31 2009 I drove 186 miles to the dealer to fill out the paperwork on the car. I arrived to find that the car that was placed on hold for me was a different color and a different model model. The dealer said to they would find me another car. An hour later, they had a delivery come with a car that looked to fit what I was seeking. However, when it was unloaded from the auto transport vehicle the Jeep was found to have a manual transmission and not an automatic as I as looking for. They then asked me what my second color choice was and I told them black however, they could not find one. They ultimately asked me to strongly consider the flame red wrangler unlimited Rubicon and under duress agreed. I went to the finance guy named John who presented me with the documents to sign and then showed me the financing form that showed 6.99 % interest. I asked him what happened to the 3.99 rate that they said I qualified for that they sent in the email. The finance guy said that they do not have that rate and did not know what I was talking about. He said that he could not do that rate. I told him that his Sales Manager James Salas sent me an email that stated that rate. I told them my credit union could offer that he then changed the paper work t reflect the credit union I was referring to. The series of misleading and deceptive events led me to rethink my decision after signing the paperwork and before accepting deliver of the vehicle to cancel this purchase. On June 3, 2009, I told James Salas this by phone after he called me to ask me something he got upset and started yelling obscene language to me and hung up. He then called me a few minutes later. I did not answer the phone and he left a message saying the hitch was installed on the vehicle and Rich Regan would deliver the Salesman the vehicle to me. I now feel threatened and intimated by this company and want to file a legal compliant against this dealership and instruct them to cease contacting me and to cancel this order.
