From July 2006 to November 2006 I recorded 16 of my original songs at 5th Street Studios in Austin, TX. I recorded all of the instruments and vocals to the songs and anticipated a Release date of December 25th 2006 or no later than January 21, 2007. I paid in excess of $4000 for the recording time, engineers and two hard drive storage. One drive was for the studio archives and one was for myself to keep and take for final mastering. What I got was one rough mixed/unmastered CD and was told that I would be contacted when the Storage hard drive was ready to pick up. That call never came. After several attempts to contact 5th street studios owners and engineers involved I was told that no one knew what had happedned to my hard drives. The "new" owner knew nothing although he was clearly involved at the time my recordings were in process. I have since sent several emails and myspace inquiries all being completely ignored. I have stopped by the studio several times all of which no one was there. I am at my wits end. I would like my hard drives and my songs so I can proceed after a four year set back on my CD release or my money back so I can re-record with someone reputable. I have not found any one who would take this case to court without charging more than I have so I am bring this issue to your attention in hopes that 5th Street Studios will produce my hard drives.
Sincerely,
Dawn Maracle
