called ahs to have a contractor come out and look at my air conditioner b/c it was leaking water from the drain pan they sent out Mead services and there employee dewayne. he looked at the air conditioner for about 30 minute he reported to ahs that"the evaporator and transition was not installed correctly and that was causing the leak. after 3 day of not hearing if they were going to fix the problem I called ahs and they told me that mead had reported to them and that ahs does not cover work done wrong even though it happen before we move in. ahs also said the mead service had reported putting in 2 things of freon. they were very rude and said it was my problem to get it fixed.
i was able to get ahold of the contractor that had installed the furnace back in November of 2010.they sent a service tech out on Friday. he spent about an hour out looking at the a/c. he discover that the reason for the leak was because that drain pan had move and it was not aimmig towards the drain pipe. all he did was tilt the drain pan slightly and the leak was stopped. he checked why the a/c was not blowing codl and found that the freon mead put in had over loud the a/c with freon. causing the a/c compressor to run hot and actually cut off when it got to hot.
i have contacted mead service and talked to dewayne and he gave me no reason why he added freon and missed judge why the a/c was leaking but he did keep my 60.00 dollars and hung up on me. its been 4 days and the owner of mead services has yet to contact me.
talked to ahs all they had to say is"what do you want us to do about it".they are very rude but they have no problem charging 560.00 for a home warranty that doesn't not cover what is broke. plus ask them why you have a pool warranty that only covers the pump and not the actaul pool. what a ripoff
