American Airlines Complaint

Carry- on Complications

You carry on luggage because you are afraid to get rid of it in baggage. When I was told to check my carry-on to my final destination, I was not happy. It was not my fault that I was the last boarding group. It turned out that there was indeed no space for it in overhead. I waited patiently at the doorway, waiting for an explanation from the ticketer when and where I could pick up my carryon, which contained pills, jewelry, and my next boarding pass. She then proceeded in tagging everyone else but me at the doorway of the airplane. Feeling ignored, I said, ' What is the problem here?'. To which she said, 'You!!' I asked 'what do you mean, me?' and she said, ' Excuse me?' a very inappropriate response. 'I don't have time for this...'and left me without making any suggestions or answering me. There I was alone in the doorway of the aircraft. Somehow I got passed to a second lady who told me there was no connecting flight from Chicago to Buffalo, but then called somebody and got it. I asked her what was wrong with that other (lady) she said, 'she's always like that--and she has to work with her all day-- she made me feel a little better. How non-confrontational I was, and how mistreated. Because of the lack of time and explanation, I left in my 'carry-on' my pills and my next boarding pass. I won't fly American again unless its my last resort. It was on Apr. 24, flight AA2328 from Dallas/Fort Worth to Chicago.
