Numerous homeowner's received Certified letters (Thursday 01-14-2010) from Ameren UE claiming that their residential homes were built on land owned or controlled by Ameren UE due to Federal law. The subject property is located within the boundaries of the Bagnell Dam Project at Lake of the Ozarks and controlled by Ameren UE. Ameren UE officials claim to control the special projects land due to a Federally granted license and Federal law supercedes all State laws concerning the matter. Ameren UE currently doesn't plan to take action against the homeowner's within the boundaries but gives no assurances to the future. Any continued construction and habitation of the premises is to be done at sole risk according to the letters.
