Re: Unsolved Grievance - Acct. 813-774-1457

Dear Mr. Buckley,

As you must be informed I submitted a complain to Sarah Hoffman on August 16, 2010 regarding the service received on April 2010 of one of your employees in which I was ripped off, robbed, abused and a lot more.

When I called your company for services of a broken fan and other minor parts I was quoted $6,500 by Juan your Tech of Tampa, Fl. He insisted and even said so many scary things that I accepted then services for $4,100. I told him I did not have that type of money and he scheduled a payment of $4,700 for 90 days. That same day he charged me $601.05 which should have been my expense of repairing my air conditioning system.

Never the less, 80 days passed and I started making calls to find help on this situation and no one cared or helped me. I placed several calls to the Tampa office and no one replied to my messages. To my surprise I found your head quarters number and was contacted with Sarah Hoffman the service coordinator which at the beginning was somewhat nice and apologetic. Latter as the conversations went on for more than 3 weeks I waited for her to refund me my money which I end up paying to Easy pay or flex pay and nothing happened.

The situation with Sarah turned into a battle because after she agreed to return me my 4,700 US dollars she never did and I called the last time she insulted me.
I have proved that I was being ripped of by your employee, not only one company said; how can you pay $4,700 for a USV light?

I am sure that the press and Florida would be concerned to see that a local company abuses their citizens with no regards. I am trying to avoid making this ugly, please. As professionals and adults which can be hones I would love to resolve this in a positive way.

Thank you,
Edma Melendez

RE: Case# 67180758 One Hour Air‏

I later contacted BBB. Org and they are working on the case, requested now prices to evidence which I am working on again. The prices found are the same as the ones provided with the initial case.

Thefact is that Scotts One Hour Air charge me $4,700.00 to replace UV violet light and a fan motor for my aircondition unit. Up to this date I keep getting quotes for the same service for $500.00 or less.

I am willing to go on TV at any moment in order to stop these people from ripping others off the money that they work so hard for. As a single mom I believe that the Tech that service me which name is Juan was clear on what he was doing because he mentioned how well that business was going for him that he was able to buy his parents new cars and houses. The problem is not what he does with his money but whom he rippes off to do so.

Please help me put a stop to this matter, if you need copy of my documents feel free to contact me 813-774-1457.

Sincerely,
Edma Melendez

This womans story that she has submitted is not accurate. She was charged for two UV lights which she elected to have, not one like she states here. Plus the fan motor which she claims she paid for was given to her for free. If I could post a copy of the invoice on here I would. She is making false claims. She defaulted on her payments with her check service company and is trying to take it out on the company. Her problem is between her and her check service company. Sarah Hoffman, our customer liason tried to help her but discovered that it is a problem between her and her check service, not One Hour Air. There is simply nothing more we can do to help her.
