I received a phone call from a computer (recorded message) company claiming to be "Account Services" stating that they were calling to offer me a lower (lower than what(?!) interst rate, as low as 6.9%. I was told to press 1 to speak with a representative, so I did. When the live rep answered, they only said "Account Services." I told them about the previous directions given and asked how they got my phone number. The line went dead without another word from their end. I dialed the number on my caller id screen and received a recording that said: "this number has been disconnected or is not in service"... That was the end of it.
Please warn everyone you talk to about this, as someone could fall for this and give out personal information which could harm them. Who knows what's really happening in that office where the call came from? Someon's credit could be ruined (probably has already), money could be stolen from bank accounts, etc. Here's the number from the caller id screen when they called me: (321)779-3962
The call came from Eau Gallie, FL supposedly.
