I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I have at Extended Stay America Chesapeake - Crossways Blvd. location. I am currently in Chesapeake on business, working on a software project. I have been a guest at your this hotel for 3 months now. I recently was given the option to change my payment schedule from weekly payments of 323.00 to a monthly payment of 799.00 + taxes (LTL). I made the agreement with a front desk manager. After making the agreement Angel charged my credit card 545.20 to complete my payments for the month of December 2011. The reason my payment was 545.20 was because I was given credit for paying from Dec. 1 - Dec. 9. After I made the payment, I confirmed with the front desk manager that I was fully paid for the month of December. The following day, a different front desk manager charged my credit card an additional 126.46 without my authorization. When I called the front desk to ask why there were charges processed on my credit card without my authorization - the front desk manager became very rude and ill mannered and threatened to void my LTL agreement. At this time I told the front desk manager that I would come over to the hotel ( I was at work) to resolve the disputed credit card charges. When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk manager was there and I questioned her as to why she processed charges on my credit card without my authorization - again she became very rude and ill mannered. I then asked the manager to show me my account and explain why she charged my credit card with additional charges after I had already paid my monthly charges in full. I think that this response by the manager was unfair because of the following reasons:
1. She charged my credit card without informing me or seeking my authorization.
2. She charged my credit card without my authorization.
3. She was rude and ill mannered when I called to get an explanation.
4. She threatened to void my LTL agreement without cause.
5. She was rude and ill mannered when I came to the hotel lobby to dispute the additional charges.
6. She called the police without cause.
7. She moved to evict me from my room without cause.
8. She abused her authority as hotel manager to intimidate me as a guest.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with this matter., I will need help to deal with the hotel manager who I think is abusing her authority and creating a situation that is erroneous and unjust.
