A Person Claiming To Be Disabled Complaint

Vintage Car Advertising Scams

- Bend, Or
An ad was in listed in the newspaper under the antique cars section. A 1970 Dodge Challenger for $4,000 in excellent condition, clear title. It included an e-mail address and phone number. The number is invalid, so I e-mailed to ask questions about the car. This person sent pictures of it and all the details. I became interested, even though it seemed to good to be true. So, this person sends me a purchase invoice from Yahoo Finance, and prefers to have the money sent via money gram. The person to send the money to is in New York, instead of Texas, like this person said they were from and the car is there also.

I got suspicious and got on Yahoo search, put in the invoice number this person gave me, and someone else's name comes up, trying to buy a 1969 Camero. I e-mailed this person and said I wanted to come get it, no response.
