My son, a criminal justice graduate from SUNY, applied for law enforcement job with the Dept. of Homeland Security. Nassau Community College refused to release information. It demanded $460 from my son for awarding him a B+ grade in a course he only registered but never took. Without payment of fees, he cannot attend the class and without attending the class, he cannot receive a grade. For the past 4 months, it not only refused to correct its error but also resorted to extortion. Dean of Students told my son that "when you reserve a seat on an airline, you have to pay the fare whether you fly or not". Consequently, my son suffered irreparable harm and his rights are seriouisly prejudiced and adversely affected. It receives public money from the County, State and the U. S.
