Recently a family member received notification of a $2,000,000.00 award waiting for her. She was to send a "primium officer acquistion fee of $11.89 along with $3 for "rush processing"
I called the fraud division of ND Attorney General Office. They said they can not shut down this scam as in very fine print it is stated, "No Purchase necessary. Purchase will not increase chance of winning."
They said they have gotten money back for some ND residents who were sucked into this scam and sent more money as the offers kept coming.
I was able to find a number in the very find print: 913-338-1823. I called and had the family member's name removed from their mailing list. At least that is what they said they would do.
Just wanted to warn others of this scam. The Fraud division was very familiar with the so called "sweepstakes'.
