Good Afternoon, I am 18 years old and I've lived in Brazil since I was born. I bought an Yamaha Keyboard at Best Buy Store #476 Long Island City on December 2006 few hours before boarding back to Brazil after a family trip to US. The Keyboard had been working perfectly until September 2009, when out of the blue the Eb keys and A keys all of them simply stopped working out of the blue. I sent it to technical repair at an authorized Yamaha center in Sao Paulo. The man there told me the rubber that is under the keys got loose and that was why the keys were not working. My keyboard was fixed, it cost me almost $90. I played it on Christmas and then stored it adequately at home, where it had always been stored. March 2010, I tried to play it but the same keys Eb and A were not working again. The warranty for the repair had already expired. It was very strange, that the same keys were not working [again] so I went to Google.com and did a research. I was very surprised because I found other people with the same model of Keyboard that were experiencing the same problem in the same keys. It came to my mind, that it would be probably a manufacturing problem on some keyboards. I emailed Yamaha on March 29th and since them I haven't received any answer, that's why I'm writing to you. I hope you can help me, and I apologize for my writing mistakes. Attached bellow is the response I received from Yamaha. I also keep the purchase receipt and I can scan it and send it to you. Also, if needed I can send a video to illustrate the matter concerning my useless keyboard. Thank you very much, Regards.
Vitor Borges, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Subject: Application/Technical Support
Description: I live in Brazil, but I've bought my keyboard at Best Buy New York in 2006. I've sent it to service last year because A keys and D# keys were not working. They fixed it for me, and less than one year later, the same keys are not working again although I haven't broken or hit it. I've searched through google and I've found other people with the same problem as mine. My question is why this specific keys simply stop working out of the blue and what should be done to fix it definitely as I've sent it to a authentic yamaha service center in Brazil and it was apparently fixed. I'm thinking seriously about never buying any Yamaha item again as well as not recommending the brand to my musician friends. Regards, Vitor ref:00D3F1z.50038a9GI:ref
