A few years ago I received an offer in the mail to sell my Lake Tansi lot located in Crossville, Tennessee. The value of the property is listed at the tax assessors office at $4500.00. Since I am on a fixed income I was willing to accept their offer of $400.00 just so that I would no longer have to pay taxes or POA fees each year. I completed all of the paper work they sent and returned it to them. This included a quit claim deed which they had requested. They said they would handle all of the recording fees etc. I never heard back from them and so assumed the deal did not go through. I assumed this because I had received an offer prior to this one that did not go through. The company involved at that time said they could not close the deal because I only had a quit claim deed. When I did not hear back from US Assets Inc. I tried calling them several times and never got an answer. Last week when I went to the tax assessors office to pay my property taxes I found that US Assets Inc. was listed as the recorded owner of the property. I have sent them a letter requesting my money and I left a message on their residential voice mail. To date I have not heard from them.
