Audibel/Starkey Laboratories Complaint

Living in Fl. with all these seniors the Hearing Aid Companies make a killing. In Feb 2008 I purchased a set of Hearing Aids to the tune of $6000.00, of which I could not afford. The right hearing aid performed flawlessly (until now). The left one has failed 4 times. I had to purchase additional $250.00 warranty to have the left one repaired. Now my right one is dead, they want $199.00 to repair with 6 mon. warranty or $279.00 with year warranty. Ihave copies of all repair bills and agreements with the Co. We live on a fixed income and could not afford the hearing aids but thought anything that expensive should be a reliable purchase and not the result of the failure of the device to perform as represented.
