I have been a long time customer of DirecTV but now I'm canceling my service and will never recommend then to anyone.
3 months ago I get a call offering a four month premium package with NFL service for no cost. I asked the lady if there was a charge and she said no. If you decided you want to cancel the service just call before the 4 months is up. What she did not tell me that there was a huge catch. They charged me 74.99 for the NFL package. I don't even watch football. I called to cancel. They canceled and was told it was canceled. Next month another charge for 74.99 and when I called the girl tells me that they cannot cancel the NFL package and I'm stuck with it. I explained to her that this was not the agreement I made and I canceled the premium channels early also because I did not watch them. She just said sorry no refund and you still owe us for two more months. I want consumers to know that this is a scam on there part. There was no verbal agreement for the 74.99 on my part but they keep saying its in there computer. Just want others to know about the scam. I have talked to other DirecTV customers and they got the same scam. Go with a company that is not trying to rip people off.
