My husband and I were married in March of 2007. We signed a contract with Steph Miller of Distinctive Images by Steph to do our wedding photography. Steph met with us prior to the wedding to discuss his wedding packages. Steph asked for the payment in full before the wedding. Payment was $2700.00. The package included an album for us, as well as 2 parent albums. Steph delivered our proofs approximately 2 months after the wedding, and indicated we would have our 3 albums within 90 days of each order. After submitting our orders, we did not hear from Steph for months. Multiple voice mails were left on his phone, with no return calls from him. Finally after threatening, and ultimately filing a law suit, Steph delivered the couple's album, and 1 parent album a week before the court date, which was July 2008. We dropped the 1st law suit because Steph had delivered the albums before the court date. My parents did not submit their order for the 2nd parent album until April of 2009. Again, Steph had stated the album would be delivered 90 days after the order was received. We did not hear from Steph again for months at a time in regards to delivery of the 2nd parent album. Numerous phone calls were placed, but the phone always went to voice mail. Again, we threatened a law suit, and Steph immediately called us back the next day stating the economy was bad, and he was in the hospital, but he would have the album done by Christmas of 2009. His voice was all shaken, as if he was in pain, and on medication. We never received the album by 2009, and it was in 2010 that all communication stopped. My husband has placed several phone calls again to Steph, but the phone always goes to voice mail. We have yet to receive the final album that we paid in full for. We decided to file a law suit again, and paid to have a constable personally deliver the papers to Steph's home. My husband called Steph to let him know we were filing, and he asked for Steph's updated address which we assumed to be his Brownstown address. We received word last week from the court, that the constable was unsuccessful in delivering the papers to Steph's home because there was either no response at the house, or the house was vacant. I came across another complaint from a couple on City Search.com, and they stated that Steph's current address is in Leola, PA. My husband again has called Steph asking for his present address. It seems as if he changes his address often, and he absolutely never answers his phone. We have also tried calling the 1 800 number on his website, to no avail. After researching on line, numerous couples are in the same boat as us, having paid Steph in full with no product delivery. Unfortunately, Steph is getting away with scamming couples out of thousands of dollars. Hopefully this can all be resolved soon.
