30day Free Trail-- NIGHTMARE - FREE 30day INTERNET TRIAL

- California
Around 20th of Dec. of 2010 I called into t-mobile for a specific reason. After taking care of my situation the guy tells me that my other 2 lines qualify for free 30day internet trial. I said ok becasue my 14yr old was always using my internet on my phone. I asked the guy what did I need to do. He said that I didn't need to do anything. I would get a message to my phone saying that the service was connected. I then asked WHAT DO I Need to do to cancel it. He told me that If I wanted to keep the service I need to contact them and if I didn't then no action was needed. I asked him are you sure thats the way it works becasue normally its the other way around. He assured me that was the case. I called my 14yr old and told her that she has internet access for ONLY A MONTH and after that it would be disconnected. Very excited she asked what did we need to do? I told her nothing just enjoy for the month. The day before the30days were up I reminded her that she only had a day left. My 10yr old didn't really care because he didn't use it a lot. I did nothing like I was told and kept paying on my bill. Although the bill is online and I receive a statement in the mail I don't cjeck either one I just pay. In April of this year my daughter wanted to know if we were eligilbe for an upgrade because she wanted the new 4g sidekick. I looked into at the mall and was told yes I was eligble.
One day during work I got online because it always seemed that my bill was getting higher every month...now mind you I had some set back for a few months but still paying on the bill. I went to look at it online and saw that since the end of January 2011 I had been charged $60 a month (30ea for those two line) for interenet. They break it down to pro-rate the month but still ends of being $60 a month. form the end of Jan-beginning of May) Approx. $240.00 plus a few days in May (?) I talked to cusomter service and they told me that I was suppose to cancel the request. I told the guy (who was very polite) that the conversation that I had with the one who set this up he told me that I didn't need to call. the CS representative then told me well mamm you were suppose to call and have it canceled. I told him that my kids didn't even use their phones for the site after that 30day trial period and that they could have checked to see the useage on their phone. He said that he understood but all theycould do was give me a credit of $42 and that wasn't a gauareenteed. After going back and forth getting nowhere but frustrated I got off the phone and paid some money on the bill. At that time I started to think that maybe tmobile was just a big rip off all together. As of May 21 I am now with Verizon and ned to cancel mytmobile acct. Thanks for this outlet at least to get this off my chest if nothing else.
