Kia Motors and thier rep Jeff Belzer chevrolet Complaint

10 year 100,000 mile warranty is a lie - New car with 10yr,100,000 mile warranty

- lakeville MN
I purchased a 2007 Kia Rio with a 10yr,100,000 mile drive train warranty in 2008.I have 90,000 miles on my car. In Feb my timing belt broke so I brought it to the dealership to be fixed. I have had all my oil changes and maintenance done at this dealership so my warranty does not get voided. They said Kia would not honor my warranty because the timing belt is a "maintenance" part. I paid 500.00 for that repair. Last week my clutch broke and I brought it to the dealership again. I was informed that the throw out bearing on my clutch "exploded" and totaled my transmission. Kia will not honor the warranty because this part is not part of the drive train. If I want it fixed it will cost 2000.00$. I am a single mom on unemployment. My benefits were just reduced to haif which is 125.00 a week. I can not look for a job without my car. If I want my car back without this fixed I have to pay for the labor that was accumulated to take it apart and make the diagnosis. I have contacted the attorney general and their process is timely not fast. In the mean time I am completely stuck. I don't know what to do.
