On May 9, 2010, we bought a 2010 PRIUS from RIGHT TOYOTA. Using misleading statements, we were led to believe that a leasing agreement would be advantagious to us. On May 10, we went back to the dealer and were told that the lease agreement could be flipped over into a retail cash agreement without any penalties. However, we were told to wait until we received the first billing statement from TOYOTA FINANCIAL SERVICES. Upon receipt of our first billing statement on May 26, we went back to dealer who now told us that he could offer us a $31,000 loan at between 6.9 and 4.9% (the PRIUS has a sticker price of $21K). On May 28, we again met with the sales and finance people who drew up a retail cash agreement. When we were ready to sign it and write a check, they withdrew the offer.
We simply want to get this ridiculous spectacle over with and pay $17,504.95 cash for the car. This is our fifth Toyota car and we have never dealt with sales people who are so lacking in basic integrity and so full of trickery.
